The Kentucky Elk Guide Association (KEGA) is a 501-C-3 non-profit association that was established/incorporated in 2019 with the purpose of supporting the Kentucky elk guides who wish to provide a professional, safe, ethical and legal hunting experience for Kentucky elk hunters along with the conservation of all our natural resources for future generations. KEGA will also be providing educational opportunities for our professional guides and the general public, as well as raising funds for Kentucky elk habitat and conservation projects.

The purpose of KEGA is to promote the commercial elk guide industry and related fields including but not limited to the commercial guide industry.
This shall include promoting high standards and professionalism in the commercial elk guide industry and strive to produce professional elk guides meeting or exceeding the high standards of KEGA.
To foster understanding in the general public about the commercial elk guide industry and other related outdoor sports, activities and industries.
To promote and adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations by members of KEGA and general public.
It will be the objective of KEGA to assist in any way possible the conservation of all our natural resources for future generations.
To accept funds as shall be necessary to carry out the purpose of KEGA and when appropriate contribute to Kentucky wildlife conservation projects.
To engage in such other civic, charitable, educational and business activities that KEGA shall deem appropriate.

KEGA has donated tens of thousands of dollars toward habitat restoration within the eastern Kentucky elk zone along with offering thousands of dollars of reward money toward Kentucky elk poaching cases.
Also, purchased and donated thousands of dollars worth of much needed items for eastern Kentucky flood victims and personally delivered them over a five county area.
